Informational Panels for Students – Please Announce in Class!

The Writing & Lit Committee is pleased to announce that we have organized CUNY-wide informational panels for our BMCC students happening next week.

Representatives from the English Departments of senior CUNY colleges will be on campus for three dates next week (see below). These faculty members are coming to meet with our students and to share the academic, vocational, and career possibilities that await them if they choose to move on to one of these colleges upon graduation.

We view this as a great opportunity to provide guidance to our current Writing & Lit majors and as a chance to reach out to the many more Liberal Arts majors and non-arts majors who are enrolled in our 100, 200 and 300-level classes.

Please encourage your students to attend what should be a valuable and rare chance for them to look ahead while learning the practical components of moving on to a four-year CUNY school. Representatives from the Writing & Lit Committee will be on hand to moderate. Students will have ample time to ask questions and to greet these visiting faculty members. The dates and times are listed below. Please email me if you have any questions.

On behalf of the Writing & Literature Committee and our entire student body, thank you in advance for supporting this important initiative.
